The Order of the Golden Lily is the Shire's service award. The first four members of the Order were elected by the members of the Shire. Since then, the members of the Order have selected those who should receive the award, with the advice of the members of the Shire.

Each year, the Lords of Beau Fort honor the lady who has been the greatest inspiration to the men by presenting her with a special award called The Lumiere du Li -- (The Lily of Light).
For as much as no lily can survive without sunlight, the Men of the Shire of Beau Fort would be lost in the dark without the shining beacons who are the Ladies of the Shire. Just as there are lilies that are brighter in color than others, so too is the Lady who is to us the Lumiere du Lis.
By their shining example, the Ladies listed below have set the beacon lighting the path into our future and have shown us that they are gracious Ladies who inspire the Men of the Shire to be the Lords that they are.

In like manner, the Ladies of Beau Fort recognize a man of the Shire who has inspired them during the year with an honor called, The Lion of Beau Fort.
These Gentlemen should possess Honesty, with Integrity. They should be Kind, Polite with Good Values. Someone who makes you feel Comfortable, Safe and Respected in his presence. He should be dedicated to the Ideals of Chivalry and he should be an Inspiration to others and Worthy of emulation.

A member of the Shire from long ago returned to us after a long absence. He returned just in time for the Shire to host a rather important Kingdom level event and this wonderful spirit worked in the kitchen the entire time. It appeared to many that whenever they turned around Lord Thomas Tarn Travis was happily scubbing a pot, chopping herbs or cleaning the kitchen floor. His work ethic was an insperation to us all. Sadly he passed from this world and left our kitchens a very empty place.
So in his honor the Shire has created an Kitchen helper award. The Lord Thomas Tarn Travis Spoon of Honor is awarded by the Head Kitchener to that Kitchen Helper who most diligently served the Shire and the Kitchener at that event. The award winners carry a spoon to help us all remember their invaluable service and to inspire us to selflessly serve.
- Thomas Tarn Travis, awarded post homorusly for Spring Crown Lyst, May 15, 2005
- Alexander McFurtherland, awarded Golden Lily VIII, February 17, 2007
- Guillaume des Pyrenees, awarded Golden Lily IX, February 16, 2008
