Who are we?
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to recreating the best of the Middle Ages and Renaissance eras (c.400-c.1600). Members study and enjoy various arts and sciences, such as history, culture, music, dance, mock combat, archery, armoring, heraldry, embroidery, costuming, calligraphy, food and drink, etc.The Shire of Beau Fort is a local chapater centered in the city of Gainesville, Georgia and a member of the Southeast Regional chapter known as the Kingdom of Meridies.
This newcommer's guide is the brainchild of Lady Allegranza Maria del Rosso, a retired Chatelaine of Shire of Beau Fort. This gathering of articles are provided to help a newcomer to the SCA in learning what they can expect from their experience in the SCA.
This guide is a work in progress and more will be added as time allows. Our current Chatelaine can be reached via the contacts link at the top of the page.
